There are LOTS of awesome restaurants in the city, but I recently came across a sweet spot near the Castro district. Located on Fillmore Street, the Metro Caffe, is a very small restaurant that is known for their cheese steak sandwiches. They have a bunch of variations: traditional CS, bbq CS, mushroom CS, bacon CS (MY personal fave), turkey CS, pastrami CS, boca CS, garden CS. It's delicious, filling, and affordable!
